Senses are essential tools that help us explore our environment and experience the world. However, some children may have difficulties with sensory processing. A sensory integration program is a specialized educational program designed to help these children understand, process, and better manage their sensory experiences.
Why the Sensory Integration Program?
A sensory integration program helps children understand and better cope with their sensory world. Children with sensory processing problems may be overly sensitive or undersensitive to sensory stimuli in their environment. This program aims to balance these sensitivities, improve the management of sensory experiences, and help children relax.
What is Sensory Integration Program?
Sensory Assessment: Each child's sensory needs are assessed. A sensory profile is determined.
Individualized Education: A customized education plan is created for each child. The focus is on their sensory needs and goals.
Sensory Experiences: Children are offered diverse sensory experiences. Their senses of touch, hearing, taste, smell, and sight are developed.
